Regionals!
O.k. So today was regionals auditions, and WOW! 1st: the music....I practiced it for LOTS of hours...I am guessing I spent about 30 or so hours on it! I learned all the scales and things and I was getting pretty good at them 2:I decided not to be nervous, or care either way of the outcome...but then I got to the room. Here is the story. So my mom picked me up early from school so that I could get ready to go to the audition, because you were supposed to dress nice. Then I went, and I realized, the it didn't really matter what happened. So, I got to the school (in Phoenix/Awatuki) and waited for Mrs. Villatoro and her husband to show up. When they did we got signed in, warmed up for about 2 minutes, then went to the audition room. When I got in, I knew the scales because I had been listening to other people. and they were good! So I got in, and it was a screened audition, so I didn't see the judge, but I could tell he was German or Russian or something. He was like...zno pleas play me a d majo scale. (in an accent if you can picture it) And so I did my scales, and my songs...o.k. They weren't as good as I have played them before, so I was frustrated. Then he had me flip over, and play the sight reading. I just tried to sound confident, though I was the FARTHEST thing from it! It was impossible to say the least. But, even if I don't make it, I have now had the oppurtunity and the experience. There is my little shpeal on my Regionals audition. Sorry that it is so long and annoying but...I just thought I would let you all know if anyone was interested at all! :) Hope you have a great day!
