Started my day off with a little I Hop and a little family

funny tangent--we were expecting 17 people. When we told them I think their eyes grew about 10,000 times bigger and it was all they could do to keep their jaw's closed. :) Gotta love the Bradshaw clan, and Hanna.

Then, nothing better than a good ol' audition for regionals! My playing was NOT the greatest, but needless to say, I made it in! Wahoo! Now to practice my brains out and my fingers off for the chair test!

My wonderful mother picked Hanna and I up early to come home, and Hanna and I used the small amount of time we had to start cashin' in the free birthday merchandise! Starting with a dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts!

Then we got a free medium sub from Fire House. And let me say. It was AMAZING! Definitely in love with the #4! (and its my lucky number. How great!?)

Then it was off to Road Show practice. Let me say, our ward is pretty dang amazing! I think we've pulled off a miracle in getting this done, thanks to our awesome leaders!

After roadshow, we met up with these guys (plus 6 others) and headed off for a night of fun!

We went to Sub Zero, where Kelly was working, and got a free ice cream! I love watching them make the ice cream! SOO cool!

Then we made a couple of other unsuccessful stops, but had fun anyway.

Jack in the Box gave us some curly fries, after scaring the junk out of us

And Wendy's asked me what I thought my birthday deserved...Hanna said 4 frosty's. One for each of us that were in the car. And they brought them!

And mine was the huge milkshake type one, with WAY too much whipped cream on it that Trent got to eat, and a few cherries, that Hanna got to eat.

Then I came home and found these beautiful flowers on my dresser from my Dad---he picked them out of the flower bed in the front yard! They are SO pretty! I love them!

Oh yeah, and the picture behind is one my momma bought for me of the three white dresses-one of my FAVORITES, and it's beautiful!

I got heart attacked by three of my wonderful friends, Hanna, Alyssa and McKenna.

Hanna and Sarah made sure that the entire bus on the way to regionals sang happy birthday to me.

Mesa High won the game Friday night. It was intense. And very hot.

I didn't sleep NEAR enough this weekend.

I got an awesome Twilight card, that included a bookmark..be jealous, and a gift card to Cafe Rio. That's right. I have the greatest sister ever.

I got to watch my adorable nieces and nephews--all of them that live in Mesa at some point this week.

We've reunited with the foster family on facebook.

It rained today.

Tomorrow begins February-the month of love. And I love love--not for myself, but for other older people.

We have a real late start on Wednesday. And no A Hour. School doesnt start until after 10. YES!

Anyways...so last night after work, I rushed to the musical, just in time to catch the last 10 minutes of the show. I was pretty much really bummed because I missed it all, but they didn't take my ticket, so I have an extra one. :) After my 10 minute sitting period, I ran out to congradulate all the cast. (all my friends are basically in it and they have done amazing---but thats a WHOLE other post) So, we were a little crazy, and I happened to have this shirt in my car, because someone wanted to look at it. So we decided, heck..he lives right here...lets just do it!! So we did. We wrote a cute little poem on a pretty blue piece of paper that said,

So, we dropped it and ran, and I came home and got on facebook real quick, to see his post, posted 23 seconds before saying "Im not wearing that shirt haha" but I just fell asleep doing math homework..not a surprise.

So I woke up (very late) this morning, and got ready fast, and figured out the rest of it, in case he really listened. I got to school and forgot the main part of it all, so my WONDERFUL mother brought it to me.
ANYWAYS. I got to 1st hour and got Brother Hemminway in on this wonderful little secret of mine. (only 2 other people in the class knew too--and they were VERY helpful!) SO, like every other day, Jason walked in late, but today he had a white shirt over his shoulders. Brother H. asked him what it was, and he said "Someones asking me to winter formal. they want me to actually WEAR this! I'm not going to!" so there was a huge discussion between the entire class--as I excused myself to go and laugh in the bathroom. When I walked back in he was still being stubborn, but after the hymn, I had to run out again, and came back in to see Jason wearing the shirt! I had a good laugh, and nodded to Bro. H. that he could give it to him.

Later in the lesson Bro H. very nonchalantly said he had something to give him, only if he was wearing a certain shirt. So he took back a paper with another rhyme on it, and a little black mirror (that used to light up). The poem said:

"Jason: Now you've proved you can have fun,

But the fun has JUST begun!

No shave November has started here,

So he looked and looked and looked, and couldnt find anything, until he flipped it over, and saw the cover. He opened it, and the batteries popped out, and there was my name! But he wouldn't read it out loud, he just looked at me and we started laughing. He finally read it, and the day finished with lots of fun comments about it, and great laughs.

SO...LONG STORY SHORT...I'm going to Winter Formal with J Lars, and I'm SUPER excited, and I have the greatest sister, and mother, and friends, and seminary teacher EVER! :)

Life's what you make it! Live each day as if it were the first and the last. Take chances. Love. Serve. Work hard. Be patient, understanding and not judgemental. Laugh! Even when you are frustrated! Smile, and keep smiling---even through the hard times. Smile even if you aren't happy, and if you do it long enough you will believe yourself. Make new friends, and keep old ones. Be ambitious. Go see a midnight premier. Jump into the pool, fully clothed. Eat some junk food! Talk. Chase your dreams. Take time to do simple things. Be there for other people--they will in turn be there for you.

These are just a few of the things I am working on now. Thank goodness we don't have to be perfect.

This is Robert Bamrick. AKA Bam. He is like another brother to me
Bam's a crazy one! He left on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Wednesday. He is going to New York, and he will be gone serving for 2 years! I am going to miss this big guy so much (I already do!!!) but I am so proud of him for making the choice to go!!

I dont even know how to share my feelings! I have such amazing friends! Seriously, the best ever! I am a member of the only true and living church on this Earth, and I have had some amazing friends find this church and join it recently. THIS summer/into this school year has been the most amazing and most spiritual that I have ever had! I'd like you all to meet some awesome people!

She got baptized July 19th.

Meet Justin Nelson. He is amazing. He was baptized August 7th. I missed his service. :'( My flight was delayed out of Salt Lake, Because I was headed home from EFY that day. I heard it went really well though. I went to his conformation the next day, and it was awesome! Justin is an amazing example to me! I love him!

Meet Chino. Chio's amazing! Chino Was baptized July 31st. It was a cool service--though he showed up late. We still love Chino. Chino was one of those people whose baptism shocks you, but when its done, it feels SO right! I love Chino! He's a great guy!

Last but definately not least, meet Robbie Harding. Robbie is HUGE.

I met Robbie this year, through some friends, and he is hilarious.

One of my favorite people to be around.

He's very stubborn and sometimes rude, and we get along quite well.

Robbie got baptized last night, August 21.

I don't know that I have ever been to a more powerful baptism in my life.

He is such an example to me. I didn't think he would have been baptized, but now that its happened, it makes perfect sense.

Last night, while I was sitting there, it felt surreal.

A good friend, Devin Carrol, gave an AWESOME talk. He needs to be a seminary teacher.

The spirit was so strong.

When Robbie got up to bear his testimony, I got the chills. I was shaking, and trying not to cry.

I had to go to a seminary social right after, and I didnt want to fix my make-up.

He did awesome. He was glowing with the spirit.

Coach Moore got up and gave the closing prayer, and though he is from a diferent religion, and the prayer was not what we were used to, it was amazing.

I love Robbie. He's such a huge example to me!

As you see. I have amazing friends. And I love the gospel so much. Christ is truly the Savior. I know and love Him. I am so thankful for the gospel in my life, and that it has been brought into my friends lives. Have an amazing Sunday! I know I will! :)

I do a pretty stinky job at posting! Have to say. I dont even know that anyone looks at this blog anymore! haha, but anyways...here are some pics from the two dances I went to this year!

MORP with Logan was so fun! This is our picture from the dance itself! We were the life of the party!

And Mormon Prom! This is before..actually...when my date came to get me, and my mom was taking last minute pictures in the bathroom. Hanna did my hair and she and Kristina helped in picking the right dress! I have to say, I really liked it!
And I guess I had to include one with my date, Brandon. We had a BLAST! It was all around an amazing night, and we partied HARD! We had dinner at the Merrell's house, and holy moly, was it good or what?! (It was sooooo amazingly mouthwateringly delicious) and in the truck {That I had a very difficult time getting into because of my dress} we rocked out to Disney music!

Well, thats all I've got to say about dances! I'm excited for next year! :) It's going to be so fun!!

Hair

So, this is in 7th grade. I cut all of this hair off and donated it to Locks of Love. Recently, it's been summer. It is hot. Hair makes me sweat--alot. I almost did this again! But I decided against it. Today my momma just gave me a little trim to get rid of thos gross lookin' split ends. I think I like long hair. I think it's going to stay long for a long time. But for now, I have decent length bangs and healthy hair! :) Yay!

Oh, and Happy Independence Day!

OH!!! And only 19 days!!!!!! The countdown has begun to the time that Carter comes home! :)

In this world there are so many people are there who try to convince you that you are not perfect, beautiful, that you are not a daughter (or son) of God. Especially in high school. There are so many nasty things around you, and so many nasty people. But there are also the amazing ones. I like to call these angels my friends. :) They help me through so many situations that I wouldn't be able to handle on my own, and I have learned to rely on them! I love my friends!!!

I have also learned to rely on Christ a lot. This song has especially helped me in the last few months!! Just reading the words can bring the spirit. I listen to it almost everyday at least once. It is a beautiful song, and amazing words that ring forth truth. Especially for a teenage girl today!

You look around you and you wonder if you'll ever measure up. In this world it seems you may never be enough. Don't let anyone convince you that it's true! So much beauty lives inside of you, and you ARE enough! Just look up.

Remeber you are greatest when you walk with God. When His light is in your eyes, you are truly strong. You don't have to prove your beauty in the eyes of man! You are divine within, you were sent here to become like Him.

Yep, its summer again! But this summer is FOR REALS! :) With my licence in my wallet (hopefully along with some money...depending on what I can do..), some keys in my hand, some sweet shades, a SUPER cute new swim suit from www.limericki.com, some super cute new board shorts, a big bottle of (cold) water (because I am being healthier this summer), lots of running to get into shape, and lots of fun friends and family activities it will be the best! (minus the summer school....) Just as this picture shows, I am stinkin excited!!! Yay for summer vacation!! :) And yay for starting it off right at Princess Bootcamp this week! Well, I got this forward a long time ago, but everytime I read it I chuckle.

A lesson to be learned from typing the wrong E-mail address:

A Minneapolis couple decided to go to Florida to thaw
out during a particularly icy winter. They planned to stay
at the same hotel where they spent their honeymoon 20
years before.

Because of their hectic schedules, it was difficult to
coordinate their travel schedules. So, the husband left
Minneapolis and flew to Florida on Friday, and his wife was
flying down the following day.

The husband checked into the hotel, and unlike years ago,
there was a computer in his room, and he decided to send an
email to his wife. However, he accidentally left out one
letter in her E-mail address, and without noticing his error,
sent the email to the wrong address.

Meanwhile ... Somewhere in Houston ... A widow had just
returned home from her husband's funeral. He was a minister
who was called home to glory after suffering a heart attack.

The widow decided to check her E-mail, expecting messages
from relatives and friends. After reading the first message,
she screamed and then fainted. The widow's son rushed into
the room, found his mother on the floor, and then glanced up
and saw the computer screen which read:

Date: Friday, October 13, 2008
Subject: I have arrived!

Dearest Love:

I know you are surprised to hear from me. They have
computers here now, and you are allowed to send E-mail to

This is what I looked like yesterday. Stayed up ALL night Wednesday night-Thrusday morning working on homework. Not one wink of sleep at all until 6th hour Thursday, when I fell asleep for I think 10 minutes on the cement of the locker room. Yeah. Dont even remember it. :) And then I came home and crashed laying down on my floor for an hour I think? and then I went to lay down in bed at 8 o' clock, but I didnt want to go to sleep because I wanted to hang out with friends, so I left my lamp on, and next thing I know I woke up and looked at the clock, and it was 8 o' clock AM and my lamp was off, and I had 6 new messages on my phone, and I hadn't moved once all night long. So, hanging out didnt happen last night, and the poor people who texted me didnt get a response, but hey, I got some sleep! AND we got our essay turned in! WAHOO! now we just have to do the presentation...oh joy!

It has been forever again I know! Sorry to anyone who bothers to look back at this ever. Well, life has been busy for all three of us. We have some depressing news though. Cassie will be leaving Mesa Arizona! :( She will not leave the blog though!! We are all SO sad to see her go! :'( Life is so crazy! But everything is going great!! Lots of little things have happened lately, but we just haven't had the time to post because it has been so busy!! Hopefully we will be better at posting now. Well, sophmore year is nearing the endish. It should be pretty exciting! :) Well, church starts soon so I must be going! But now that you have a small update I must be going.

Well, I know its been forever since anything has been posted (if anyone still even looks on here! :) ) but today, I had to post about all that I am thankful for...in no particular order. Blogger won't let me rearrange the pictures but here you go!

I am thankful for all of my rights, and freedoms that have been fought for!

I am thankful for my father, and sisters and mother who are amazing at cooking, and for a BEAUTIFUL kitchen to cook in!

I am thankful for water heaters so that I can take warm, long showers whenever I want!! :)

I am thankful for Elders who preach the true gospel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! And that Elder Bradshaw is getting to enjoy his thanksgiving!

surprisingly, I am thankful for school. It brings stress, and sometimes anxiety, but I still end up having SOME fun every day. I <3 MESA HIGH!!!

I am thankful for the Bradshaw family! :) And for Arizona! Though I do not like the heat, I am thankful we have no natural disasters! AND I love monsoon season!

I am also thankful for all of my friends and ward members! I love all of you!!!!!!

Life..as of late

Well, life has been crazy lately. Cross Country has become my life. I think that I spend more time at school than at home. Not that I don't absolutely LOVE what I do, but it is just busy. On Friday we had a meet in Queen Creek. It was very fun. It was called the Twilight Meet (but it had NOTHING to do with the book). We ran in the dark! It was really fun!! Our coach got a ton of glow in the dark things for us, including a glow in the dark face pencil, and nail polish. A guy on my team drew the joker face on me, but by the end of he night, there was only a little there, because I had sweat it off. All in all, it was a great night! We pulled into the school parking lot about 11 pm. Yeah, it was a LATE night! I saw a lot of friends again, that don't go to my school. But the most surprising one, was a kid that I met at Philmont! It was awesome to see him again! This weekend has been amazing. I love conference!! I don't even understand how they can be so inspiring! It seems that every talk was meant just for me, and I think that everyone can take what they need out of it. So, life around here, as of late, has been absolutely amazing. This week will bring a lot of fun too! Home Coming week, so EVERYONE is going to be crazy! I am really excited though!

So, Today for Cross Country we went to Flagstaff! :) It was crazy fun! Except the fact that I have been up since 3:15 this morning! (I am falling asleep as I am typing)! But, surprisingly, we almost all did REALLY well today! We were supposed to do bad because of the elevation and things like that, but we didn't! Right before my race, it got really dark, and stormy. It was so pretty! The weather was perfect to run in. I stuck up with one of my team-mates for almost the entire race, until the last 1/2 a mile about. It was really cool, but exhausting. After the race, I was walking around, with just my socks on, because my feet hurt, and I stepped on a cactus. That did not feel too good. But, luckily my team is awesome and they helped me out. We had to ride a school bus (air conditioned) there and back, so a total of 6 hours on a bus. Let's just say we had some interesting conversations and things of that nature. It was awesome though, and I think we are all closer after that fun adventure! Yay for Mesa High! Yay for rain! Yay for Flagstaff! Yay for running cross country!

Tomorrow I get to go and see Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince...at MIDNIGHT!!! I am so beyond excited! Hopefully it will be worth the money and lack of sleep!

My other picture won't upload, but I have been reading The Scarlet Letter for school, and it is NOT fun, but surprisingly, it makes sense. It takes about 20 minutes per chapter, so I have taken months to read it, but other than that negative effect, and being tested on it when I get to school, it is ok I guess.

Just some other random stuff, I got my hair cut...and I love it! Sister Willis did an amazing job! I am also making a quilt out of all my old clothes and stuff that I didn't want to give away because they were brought good memories. I am really excited to finish it..It should be cute! I also got my registration for school..I personally think it is too early......but still. I'll deal with it! Got all the classes I wanted! And one other thing, went to visit Elliot at Arivaca. Great visit with family, and we even talked just us two. Went on a long horse ride together, played at the park, and played pool (I won) :) It was a good visit and I think I am looking forward to having him home.

Sorry to any one faithful enough to look at this crazy blog, that I personally haven't been too faithful in posting! I think the others could agree that it has been a pretty crazy summer so far! I just got back from Philmont, a scout camp in New Mexico. We met the General Young Mens' presidency, and the councilers from the primary presidency. It was a really fun experience. I stayed at the base camp with the parents, little kids, and quite a few teenagers. The other teenagers went on the "Mountain Man/Women backpacking treck" and climbed and hiked for 4 of the days. Then when they came back we had a dance, and the next morning (this morning) we packed up and drove home! We went by way of the petrified forest, and spent at least an hour just looking around at things. These are only 4 of the 150 pictures my dad took on his Iphone. Overall, we had an awesome time! Maybe we will have to try Philmont again?! :)

Alright, so on May 6th it was one of my most amazing friends in the whole wide world's birthday! Cassie Lesueur turned FIFTEEN!!! I don't even know why I didn't post! This girl has been one of my very best friends for a VERY long time! I love her like a sister!!! We have had a lot of fun times together, and we even share a blog, and it is this VERY one!!!! I feel SO bad, and I owe Cassie a tribute!!
Well, since my computer crashed, I only have pictures off of this blog, and they won't seem to load, so I apologize again!! BUT Cassie is an amazing girl! She has an awesome sense of humor! I love her laugh, and the great faces that she makes when we are taking funny pictures! She is the most calm, patient and undersanding girl I know. She is not to high in stature, but she is still ABSOLUTELY amzaing in EVERY single way!!!! Emily and I get to run together at Mesa next year, and we are both SUPER excited! Emily is someone who you can always trust, rely on, and know will always be there! I'm SO glad we are friends Em!!

Heres a third! Logan Clyde Helquist turned 17!!!! Holy cow! I still can not believe it! I remember when we were little kids dancing to Greece with Amber Kay babysitting! Logan has been an awesome friend to me, and to Elliot through everything. I love this guy like my very own brother...well my 6th! :) Happy late birthday Logan!!

And a fourth and Fifth! Dominic and Michael (Compton) both had birthdays! Dominic turning 17 and Michael turning 15. These guys are awesome!! Dominic has an amazing testimony and I love to hear him speak and bear his testimony in church. Michael is an awesome guy, and really funny and fun to be around. We're still helping him out getting used to the church and things of that nature, but he is still SO amazing. I'm really glad I've gotten the priveledge of meeting them and their whole family. They bring a whole new spirit and a ton of life into our ward family! Love you guys too!!!

AND a sixth. On May 19th was my wonderful, and BEAUTIFUL sister Kelli's birthday. I love er to death! We grew up for a few years, in the same room, and it was a lot of fun! Kelli is one of the smartest and nicest girls I have ever met in my life. She is always kind and polite. She is in better shape then I have ever been in, she makes the best rolls that I have ever tasted, she has the best sense of humor, and I ALWAYS seem to have fun when she is around. Now if she would only move back to Arizona...hint..hint.. :) Kelli is a big role model to me, because she did so well in high school, she was in the top 20 for accademics at Mesa High, and she also ran, and worked and everything. She has already graduated from college, and has a nice (I don't know what it is called) dorm? With some girls, and she has an amazing job, earns great money, has a CUTE wardrobe, has geat self control (keeps herself in shape, doesn't spend too much money, things like that) and she has always been someone I look up to. Love you Kelli and can't wait to see you again soon!!

And from now on, I'll try to keep on top of birthdays better! :)

Everybody all for one! A REAL summer has JUST BEGUN!! Musical theater started on Monday, and we are having a BLAST!!!! This may have to be my last year, unless I have a say in it! :) I mean, next year I could drive us all down and back! Maybe?!? Well, our three major songs are Good morning Baltimore, but the words are changed in it so it is "It's Music Theater" and then Everything That I am from Tarzan, I had never heard it, but it is BEAUTIFUL and Hanna and Mckenna both have solos in it!!!! Then we are doing All For One from High School Musical 2. It is really cool! We have a ton of other numbers too, but I will name them next week after the show! :) We've had an all around amazing time and I LOVE musical theater!

Today, June 1st, is a lovely and dreaded day!

Today is Maya Drew's 5th Birthday! She is the sweetest little girl ever! A few funny facts about Maya:
1. She was SUPER shy when she was little and only liked Candice to hold her
2. She says the FUNNIEST things EVER, some old ones i just found:
Maya drew a picture of me (Candice) on her magna doodle. "Mom, this is you!" "Thanks, Maya, I love it!" (Scribbling all over the picture) "Now the bugs came and got all over you and you went to heaven." "......" (More fast scribbling) "Now you're really dead."
"I am so excited about the Farm breakfast at preschool, I am going to say it all day long because I am SO excited."
3. She had the most beautiful long brown hair, and now had the cutest little haircut for summer
4. She is an amazing singer
5. She is learning to play the piano and is VERY good at it!
6. She LOVES Disney everything!
7. She has already learned the meaning of, "Make new friends but keep the old, one is silver and the other gold" because some of her friends from San Francisco don't even live in the United States and others just live in different states
8. She is almost always sweet, unless she is sick, then she can be a LITTLE moody, but not much
9. She HATES getting her head/hair wet
10. She is my favorite 5 year old Maya Drew in the WHOLE ENTIRE WORLD and I love her SOO much!

Update on Carter

Carter has been doing pretty good. My mom flew back there on Wednesday morning to be with him, and will probably come back on Tuesday if everything goes as planned, but who knows knowing this family! :) Just kidding. But, he has been walking around with my mom, and he talks, but his speech is somewhat slow and slurred because of the medication. He came out of ICU on Wednesday. Then the other day he started leaking spinal fluid out of his nose. They don't know the cause of it, but he has to hold very still, and can't move. He is getting sick of the bed, and I don't blame him! He should be doing better soon though, and hopefully will get out of the hospital and go into a recovery center on Tuesday. After he has had a while in there, they will decide if he still needs to come home for further recovery. Thank you for all your prayers and support! We really do feel it! And thanks for all of the food and phone calls and things! Love all of you guys!

Mothers Day/Carter

Happy Mothers Day Mom! Sorry I'm late, but thank you for everything. This isn't the greatest picture, but it kind of got everything I will wrap into this post. My mom REALLY is the greatest! She was so calm and pleasant on Mothers Day, even with my Grandparents not doing very well, and having/getting to drive to be with them all by herself, and with the call about Carter coming in the day before. For those of you who don't know, Carter, (the brother shown in this picture leaving for his mission in Independence Missouri) was in a tree, trimming it for a ward member. He is actually in Olathe, Kansas, not that that matters, but he stepped on a branch that didn't hold his weight like he thought it would, and it snapped, and went down with him. The fall was between 15 and 25 feet, we have heard both and everything in between! He had a lower skull fracture, broke his left wrist, and basically crushed the whole left eye socket. He also had a big gash that needed plastic surgery. "On Sunday, Carter had surgery on his optic nerve and they removed several bone fragments. The neurosurgeon is the only LDS neurosurgeon in the area and he "just happened" to be on call. He was pleased with the outcome and is optimistic that he will regain much if not all of his sight in his left eye. Carter's president is also a physician and he has been there for much of the medical decision making. We feel very blessed and that these are not coincidences. The orthopedist will do surgery to put a plate in Carter's left arm to correct the severe deformation of the radius. This will allow for healing with a splint rather than a cast. He will remain in ICU until Tuesday and it will be 4-6 weeks until we will know the full extent of his vision recovery. Before the surgery he could just see bright lights out of his left eye. I spoke with Carter this morning and he sounded very good. I asked him if his face hurt and he laughed. He said he remembers standing on a limb while helping one of the members trim his tree. He doesn't recall much after the limb broke. We are grateful for all your faith, prayers and fasting. You make a difference. We love you all and feel the Lord is directing Carter's care and recovery. President Van Kommen attended the Olathe Ward today which was fasting for Carter and reported to them on his condition. He said there was a great outpouring of love and concern and that Carter had won the hearts of the members there. We were not surprised." That was an email from my dad that basically sums things up. He is healing from the arm surgery, and should hopefully get to call home tomorrow since we didn't get to talk to him for Mothers' Day yet, because of anesthisia from surgery.

Orchestra concert!

Tonight we had our orchestra concert. Our last one at Brimhall Junior High School! :*( Yes, that is a face with a giant tear drop. I am really sad about moving on, yet in a way excited to go to Mesa High. We had a "disney" theme for our orchestra, and played a mix of Lion King songs, then The Waltz from Sleeping Beauty (the ballet) and then ended with Pirates of the Carribean. It ws a really fun concert, and a really fun year! I got my orchestra teacher a dozen of these BEAUTIFUL roses at the wonderful last minute stop, Safeway! They were only 9.99 and they were so pretty. They are called Fire and Ice, and are my new favorites! We will miss Ms. Villatoro and her crazy, fun, and funny sense of humor.

Yesterday, all day, we had the city meet for track and field! Sadly, this means the end! :( I am going to miss track practices and friends and coaches a lot! It will be a hard transition out of it too! Well, I personally didn't do too good, because...well because...well...I have no reason! BUT I left EVERYTHING I had on that track, and had almost ZERO energy today. It was really fun though, and a great experience, and overall (for girls track and field) Brimhall got 3rd place! We were/are really happy about that. Well...as soon as someone sends me the pictures I will post them, my camera was going crazy, and I didn't want to worry about it. Sorry!

Well, this is kind of a random post. Let me explain....from top left to right then bottom. The top picture is Rachel...except next year her uniform will change colors and become purple and gold! Yup thats right! She made it onto Mesa Cheer!! Way to go Rachel!!! :) Then the next picture...well we will be at MESA! FINALLY!!! AND...I am going to try out for soccer next year between cross country and track! I am really excited! The bottom picture is just a bunch of friends! I am excited for all my old and new friends I will have in High School, and then Hanna...because we will FINALLY be at the same school!!!! It has been since Kindergarten since we have even been in the same school! Isn't that crazy!?! I am really excited for next year! It is going to be fun, but randomly enough....I think I just might miss Brimhall! Crazy as it may sound. There have been a lot of good times there and a lot of memories that have been made! Oh...but trust me...as much as I am excited for high school...I am MORE excited for SUMMER!!! FINALLY a break!!!!!

TRACK, TRACK BABY!

Track has been in full swing lately! It is amazingly fun! Last week we had a home meet and I took 1st place in the 800 meter run. It was an amazing feeling of accomplishment! This week I ran in the 4X800, open 800 and the 1600 (or mile). I/we got 2nd place in all the races. I ran the last leg of the 4X800 in 3:02, my best time was 3:01 and I had been told to take it easy, because we were losing and I didn't have a chance of catching the girl. Then in the mile I got 2nd place. I tailed a Stapley girl the whole race until the last 300 meters when I overtook her. It was really cool. I got a 6:29...a new personal best, down from my last fastest of 6:37. I was really happy. Then for the 800, I finished in 2nd place 1 second behind the girl from Stapley, and got a 2:59 I think? But it was a personal record and I was happy! It was a long meet and I was tired! But it has been very fun and rewarding! We have amazing people on our team, and I love my coach for distance. I am excited to hopefully finish in the top 8 at City in a few weeks! I will keep everyone posted!

p.s. I took my camera to the meet today to take pictures,(it is a miracle it got into my bag..but that is a different story) and I got into the locker room during 6th hour, and the batteries were dead, so I put in my spare batteries..and they were dead too. Just my luck! I will try to be more prepared for next meet!

Cassie and I were discussing this random fact we learned the other day about how it is impossible to sneeze with your eyes open. And during this discussing the problem of if you sneezed with your eyes open then your eyes would pop out came up. And i mention that to Cassie and she wanted to know if that was really true. SO, we looked it up, this is what we found! :)

Question:
"Will your eyes pop out if you sneeze with your eyes open?"

Answer:
"Yes, especially if you're eating soup or drinking a tall beverage"
You will then need a spoon to fish them out and pop them back in. And since you won't be able to see, that will be quite the challenge. ;) Actually, it's supposedly impossible to sneeze with your eyes open (though I swear I've managed it), so this isn't really something that you should worry about too much. Note this nicely written article on the subject:
The received wisdom states that if you don't blink when you sneeze, your eyes will fly out of your head. Thankfully, as is often the case with urban legends, this theory is a load of hooey. Your eyeballs are safe and sound in their sockets. In reality, a sneeze is simply an involuntary nervous response to nasal irritation. According to this nifty science blog entry, the sneeze impulse affects a variety of body parts, including the abdomen, chest, neck, and face. My parents took me and my brothers to Disneyland on Tuesday. We drove up to Burbank on Monday and stayed with my Aunt and Uncle. Then went to the park ALL day Tuesday, and J.D. and I got hopper passes to go to both parks for a few hours. After all day at the park we were all pooped, but my dad and J.D. drove us home, and we pulled into the drive way at (yes, the last 3 minutes of the ride I counted seconds) 4:32:10. It was crazy and very fun! THANKS!

Wow! I can not believe that you are five already Clara! I remember when you were really little and small things we would do would make you laugh really hard. Like one time when you were sitting next to me in the white playroom and Granny had put puzzles up on the walls after we had them finished, and I was throwing a ball right above the puzzles, and it made you laugh very hard. Another time you would laugh because the teddy bear we were playing with didn't like to sit up, and kept falling over. It was really fun to play with you then, and it still is now! I love playing with you and Janie and Clay and having fun! You are my favorite oldest niece and I love you!

Here is the game that Sister Turley had on her blog. It is to think of 10 things that I am thankful for that start with the letter C...so let's "c" if I am any good at it.

1. Candy and Cookies! almost every kind.
2. Chocolate. Where would anyone be if they hadn't had chocolate?!?!
3. Cassie LeSueur! :) She is amazing and makes everything more fun!
4. Cosseboom! The most amazing coach in the world! I really think that I am going to DIE next year without this guy! He gives so much support and believes in all of us, "his girls" (well that was for Cross Country..and now he's the distance coach for track...but I still love him the same) and he also lets us chill in his room! :)
5. Calendars! I don't use mine as much as I should, but when I am at a loss, a.k.a. when I am not in school, and I need to know what day it is because I for some odd reason can not remember what the date was the last time I was at school, and then just do the math, they help me figure out the date!
6. Children. I love them, even on their "off" days!
7. Computers, seriously, with out a computer, I would not be breathing right now.
8. Cash! Everyone needs to enjoy spending every once and a while, and what better way to do it, and not get carried away then to use cash!
9. Civilized people! (Inside joke, and I dont know if I want to explain any further)
10. Church. All kidding aside. I love it with all my heart
